Our piano teacher Anthony, in Kemptown, offers piano lessons in all styles of music for ages 4 and above, from beginner to very advanced. This piano teacher has a Master of Music degree and a wealth of experience both teaching and performing on piano. Anthony has been teaching piano lessons since 2004. Anthony's solo performance career has included giving multiple concerts for audiences of over 2,500 people, giving recitals as a recipient of piano competition first prizes and scholarship awards, and giving solo community recitals and performances in churches and schools. He gives annual recitals at assisted living facilities, and also curates performances that specialize in music by living composers. Anthony has extensive experience playing chamber music, having attended chamber music camp multiple times, serving as an accompanist for various ensembles throughout his life, and forming a cello/piano duo, which has performed in various locations in the United States and Brazil. Anthony has experience being an accompanist for voice, trumpet, flute, and horn studio recitals. His most extensive experience has been accompanying vocalist Rebekah Alexander for the Gaudeamus Interpreters Competition in the Netherlands. Anthony is also a professional composer, with original compositions premiered in over 25 countries across 6 continents. His repertoire ranges from works for beginning and amateur musicians (especially works for beginning pianists) to extremely experimental, difficult works for large ensembles. He has had performances of his works at Elbphilharmonie in Germany, the Lincoln Center in the United States, and Cadogan Hall in the United Kingdom, amongst many others. Anthony loves teaching, and brings an electric enthusiasm, passion, and genuine approach to all of his piano students, firmly believing that everyone can become an excellent pianist!
