Our piano teacher Ed offers piano lessons in all styles of music for ages 11 and above, from beginner to advanced. This piano teacher has a Master of Music degree and a wealth of experience both teaching and performing on piano. Ed has been teaching piano lessons since 2017. This piano teacher has performed extensively as a solo pianist in jazz and related styles— both in recital settings as well as restaurants, hotels, and private functions. Ed has performed extensively with jazz combos and vocalists, and also has significant experience playing in pop/rock/function bands and musical theatre pit bands. This piano teacher is also an experienced accompanist, with a particular focus on jazz but also in classical, popular, and musical theatre styles. Ed has collaborated extensively as a musician, including with, among others, Norma Winstone, the National Youth Jazz Orchestra, and the Swingle Singers. He has performed across the United Kingdom as well as internationally, including at jazz festivals in London, Cheltenham, and Montreux, Switzerland. With a wealth of experience across a wide variety of styles, Ed is able to tailor his piano teaching to connect students with the music that inspires them. Ed creates a fun atmosphere while also giving students the tools they need to express themselves in their chosen styles, hopefully empowering them to continue a life filled with music.
